Caribbean –American Visual Cultural Preservation (CAVCP) is a 501© 3 non-profit organization, seeking funding primarily through governmentgrants, contributions from private enterprise, community based organizations and individuals. CACVP initiates and runs diverse programs aimed at encouraging and promoting the visual preservation of the Caribbean.
CAVCP envisions a community in which artistic excellence is celebrated, supported, and documented for access to all.
CAVCP’s mission is to preserve the diverse cultural heritage of the Caribbean by documenting works of artistic excellence, cultural traditions, political advancements and educational initiatives in a video format.
CAVCP Video Production Internship : A semester-long program which provides 10-15 students in Senior High School and North the opportunity to develop their creative talents by granting them access to Film/Video Art’s courses, production equipment and postproduction facilities.
CAVCP Technical Support : A community based initiative that provides small 501© 3 Organizations and community based organizations with audio visual support.
CAVCP Marketing Support: A community based initiative that provides small 501© 3 Organizations and community based organizations with marketing support.
CAVCP Archives: An initiative that documents historically significant events in the Caribbean and shares it with the greater community.
CAVCP Haiti Relief Project: An initiative to provide health, education, technical, and civic support in Haiti. The yearlong projects are facilitated with the help of the Haitian American Professional Coalition.
